so you dislike the compatibility checker?
per MSFT at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929355 - To create the ShowCompatDialog registry DWORD value, follow these steps:
| 1. | Exit PowerPoint 2007. |
| 2. | Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK. |
| 3. | Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\PowerPoint\Options |
| 4. | On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value. |
| 5. | Type ShowCompatDialog, and then press ENTER. |
| 6. | Right-click AutoArrangeViews, and then click Modify. |
| 7. | In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK. |
| 8. |
On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.
I'm trying it out on excel .. same stuff under excel in regedit. haven't had any issues / or compatibility dialogs :)
so your dell optiplex 745 or other comptuer doesn't scroll in office 2007? uninstall the mouse suite - this fix works right away. requires a single reboot. |
